Extra-Curricular Activities

Design workshops

  

Students learn the basics of design in this course. Students also learn from discussions on the impressions imparted by the use of color and design and the difference in the image received according to the country involved.



Softball game

  

Students who like it or who had never played enjoyed the game together. Everyone had a great time!



Volleyball game

  

This game was held to relieve stress and lack of exercise. Did you find it useful?



Walk rally

  

This walk rally featured opposing teams. Students enjoyed the beauty of the natural landscape of Kyoto while taking part in the heated competition.



Summer camp

  

Students from different universities joined our students at this camp, which was held for two days and one night at a KUAD seminar house. Featuring access to the sea, blind-folded watermelon breaking, and fireworks, the two-day event deepened exchange beyond the borders of class and nationality.



Exchange party with the Kyoto University of Art and Design

  

This exchange party was held in conjunction with students from the Kyoto University of Art and Design, located on the same campus. More than a 150 exchange and Japanese students took part in the party. The content of the party is changed from year to year.



The Takenami Elementary School and the homestay program

  

This exchange event featured a homestay program held in conjunction with the Takenami Elementary School in Gifu Prefecture. Students stayed at the homes of students attending the elementary school, and took part in lectures on local dishes and meditation at a local temple. All of the students were smiling and looked completely satisfied on the bus ride back to Kyoto.



Exchange event with the Kitashirakawa Elementary School

  

At this exchange event, students met the mothers of students attending the elementary school and exchanged views on how to raise children and related concepts.



Workshop (braid art craft)

  

This workshop featured the use of colorful braid to make a variety of goods. The workshop was highly rated by the students.



Workshop (clay work)

  

At this workshop, students learn the satisfaction and difficulties of making goods by hand, and new discoveries are very possible.



Club activities (Basketball club)

  

This club is very popular. By all means, please join us.



Club activities (Singing club)

  

Singing is universal worldwide. Whether or not you can speak Japanese is not important at all! Let's all have a good time singing together.

This is actually the most popular club.



Sports meeting

  

Everyone takes this event seriously! Both students and instructors get really heated up at this event.
